I tried to primarily stick to gradients. A few problems beset me while working on this. First, was how to do the tube. My first reaction was to create a gradient mesh, but after fussing with it for sometime, it wasn’t coming out. My second attempt, and that which I stuck with, was to create a knock out of the tube shape, and make it a little smaller, then set a gassian blur effect on it.

Also, it took _forever_ to create the mesh effect on the right panel. Originally I was trying to use the Define Pattern function in illustrator to create it, but was having a lot of trouble. I ended up copy’n’pasting most of the dots to create my own halftone type effect of a mesh.
